About

My name is Emma Sodano and I am a current college student at the Penn State University pursuing a certification in Digital Art. I have had several of my pieces included in various exhibitions at Raritan Valley Community College, such as the student, and juried art exhibitions, and greatly enjoy learning about and improving my art.

I have been participating in art classes since my freshman year of high school in 2016 and continue to grow and develop as an artist through every educational course. In my youth I was often inspired by the work of illustrators and my favorite animated films. I dreamed of having the opportunities I now have today that allow me to pursue my art endeavors.

The work that I create is primarily in the category of fine and digital arts, while I occasionally branch out into the 3D arts realm, and I continuously enjoy the process of growing and developing my skills as an artist.

Artist Statement

My work is a chronicle of my journey through art education. It primarily focuses on fine arts, in which each piece demonstrates growth in skill, passion, emotion and confidence in art. Most of my pieces are acrylic paintings, or drawings varying from graphite to pen and pastels. I am constantly experimenting with style and content however, as well as the messages I want to portray through my work. I have worked with 3D materials such as wood, foam and plaster and have also delved into digital works. With all of my content, I attempt to create a unique experience through each piece and consider them to be tools that provide inspiration for projects to come. My work is fully representative of my evolution of art skills and different methods of observing life, whether that be from simple objects, emotions, or external and social conflicts.
